My Best Beauty Buys of 2017

As promised, today I am sharing my best beauty buys of 2017! I shared my Fave Fashion Finds of 2017 with you a few weeks ago, and I thought it would be helpful to make one that was all about beauty and skin care. A few years ago I was trying out tons of new makeup all the time (mostly influenced by the beauty Youtubers I was watching), but now for the most part I have found my favorite makeup items and have stuck with them. The same goes for skincare… I have found the items that currently work best for my skin and have stayed loyal to them. But, I do like trying new skincare items (especially masks) every now and then. To me, skincare is much more important than makeup. I would rather spend money on skincare to protect my skin than spend tons of money to buy make up only to put it on a bad canvas (your skin). I say this, yet I do not think I have ever felt quite comfortable going out in public completely bare-faced, but things take time right (lol)!

Anyway, I am going to share what I thought my best beauty buys of the year were, and break it down into “new buys” and “repurchases”. New buys are the items that were new to me this year, and I absolutely love them. Repurchases are items that I love with all my heart and continued to use and buy them in the year of 2017. Okay, here comes the beauty talk!!

New Buys

Quench Lip Rescue // So, I am such a chapstick girl! I use to have it on at all times, and still try to keep it on as much as I can. Of course, I love a good lipstick or gloss, but for everyday wear I go for a chapstick of some sort. This one is so basic and not really special at all, but it seems to do wonders for my lips (especially in the winter). But, when I tried this Quench Lip Rescue, I was so impressed!! It feels so moisturizing on the lips and also gives your lips a little color. It is a nice natural everyday option! I have it in the color ” “.

24K Gold Eye Patches // These are actual 24K magic (loling at myself and that joke). But seriously you guys. These are an amazing little treasure that I am so happy I came across this year. They have a steeper price tag than I usually like to spend on makeup or skin care, but trust me they more than worth it! I only use them on important occasions when I need to look my best. There are also a ton in the tub, so if you only use them once in a while, they will last a long time! These would be the perfect gift for a bride-to-be!!

Classic Bronzing Moose // I have been trying out a couple new self-tanners to give my skin some life this winter. Although, I have not used any for a month or so, I feel in love with the results I got from this tanning moose! It is the best one I have tried so far, and completely recommend it!! Make sure you use a mitt while applying it though!

Photo Finish Primer Water // This has been one of my favorite additions to my makeup routine in the past year. I spritz my face after I apply my primer (before I apply my cc cream or foundation), and again after I am done apply all my makeup. It does a great job at setting everything, making it last all day long, and giving me a nice dewy glow!

Dr. Jart+ Sheet Mask // This mask is such a gem! I have not found a mask or product that does a better job at moisturizing my skin than this does! I love doing it before bed when my face is feeling dehydrated. This would also be the best thing to do for your skin after getting of a plane or after traveling!

Origins GINZING Gel Moisturizer // This moisturizer is so lovely. It feels so light and refreshing on the skin, and does an amazing job at waking me up. I use this as my day moisturizer, and apply it in the morning.

Origins GINZING Eye Cream // I use this eye cream in conjunction with the moisturizer. It does an amazing job at depuffing and brightening the under-eye area! I never use to wear eye cream during the day, but I have loved this one so much!

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser // This has been my face cleanser for a while now. I tried it out when my skin was acting up, and I have been using it ever since! It is gentle, which is great for my sensitive skin. I completely recommend giving this a try if you are in the market for a new face wash.

Origins Night Cream // At the same time I started using the Soy Face Cleanser, I started using this night cream. My skin was super dry, so I would use this cream at night and in the morning (I still will do this if my skin seems like it could use a little more moisture). I now just use it before bed, and it does a lovely job at hydrating my skin!

IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream // This is the perfect face makeup for everyday wear. I have been using this for quite a while now, and love it so much. It gives a natural look, but has amazing coverage! I love that it also has SPF, which we should all be wearing everyday!

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder // I always use a translucent powder to set my makeup, and this has been my favorite one I have used so far! It really does make your pores disappear, which I love! It also does not seem to have any white cast in photos!

Too Faced Matte Bronzer // I have also been using this bronzer for quite sometime now. I love how smooth it is, and how well it blends! If you like a matte bronzer, you will love this one!

Beauty Blender // If you have not tried a beauty blender (or a makeup sponge of some kind) to apply your face makeup, I completely recommend trying it! I have not even touched my face brushes since I began using one! I use mine damp, and love the natural and dewy finish it gives. It also seems easier to blend my makeup when I do this!

Shape Tape Concealer // This is hands down the BEST concealer I have ever used! It is so creamy, and has been the only one that I have found that does not hideously crease on me. I also have under-eye circles that can sometimes be hard to hide, but this does a great job at masking them! This is the makeup product that I use that I would recommend most!

I love each and every one of these products, and cannot rave about them enough! If you are looking for new products to try, I hope this gives you some ideas for things to test out! If you have any more questions on any of the products, feel free to ask me! I would be happy to give advice!!

Thanks for stopping by, Lovely!
